Every meadow begins with careful observation of the existing landscape and ends with plantings that are both ecologically and aesthetically balanced. Here is how we will work together to improve native habitat on your property:
The Process
1. Site Assessment
Walking the property together, we will discuss your goals and vision. The initial process involves identifying existing plant material including natives, non-natives, invasives, and aggressive plant species, outlining zones of use together, and opportunities to support pollinators and other wildlife. As a recap, you will receive a written site assessment summary.
2. Design/Estimating
Together, we will create simple diagrams or more detailed concept sketches of the property showing placement of meadows and /or smaller pocket plantings. Once visualized, you will receive a seed list, plant schedule, and estimates of the following phases: Prep, Install, and 1-3 years maintenance.
3. Site Preparation
The site will be cleared of existing plant material including problematic invasive species and aggressive weed species to prepare for seeding and planting.
4. Installation of Plants and Seed
Planting native species seeds, plugs, and/or plants suited to your site. Meadow Pockets is an Installer Partner of MeadowLab Sod, Soil, and Seed. Ask me about Meadow sod! 
Additional Services
Maintenance in years 1-3 support the success of your meadow. We carefully monitor plant establishment, remove invasive species that have seeded, and supplement areas with additional seed or plants as needed.
